§ C. Purposes.

These regulations are adopted for the following purposes:

1.

To encourage the development of an economically sound and stable community so as to conserve and protect the natural, economic and scenic resources of the county.

2.

To assure the provision of required streets, utilities and any other facilities and services to residential subdivision developments.

3.

To ensure the adequate provision of safe and convenient access and circulation, both vehicular and pedestrian and to help insure that all lots will be accessible to fire fighting equipment and other emergency and service vehicles.

4.

To ensure adequate drainage by providing for the proper layout of streets and lots.

5.

To promote a safe and healthy environment.

6.

To encourage the wise development of the community in accordance with the adopted land use plan.
